I’ve been doing a bit of reading. Apparently many of the aggers we see now, including the one shown in my photos, are largely post-Roman earthworks much narrower than the originals. Archaeology shows that the original here was much broader. It does follow the original line though. On maps the line is very clear from Chichester up to Surrey, where it gets lost.
