And on 16 October 2010 It was a "Waxing Gibbous" (71.13% Visible) moon;
rose at 3:18 PM and set at 1:24 AM, so not visible from Toronto at just
after 8:00 AM.

Not the moon. The view appears to be toward the Southeast, camera facing
south. At that time of day, a full moon or nearly full waning moon would
be close to setting and would be over your right shoulder at about 280° ...
The moon would be in that direction a little after midnight, but would
be higher in the sky, close to 55° above the horizon.
That looks like some kind of lens flare to me.

what do you guys think about this ? I took it a little after 8 am in
Toronto on October 16th, 2010.. according to lunar calendar it can't
be an actual full moon.. and it would be setting not rising
but I thought I was facing east... what camera problem or lighting in
the sky could have created it? could there have been so much
pollution that it is the sun? I'm totally flummoxed..
shot with my Canon eos Digtal Rebel.. details next to the photo if you

Ideas? It got be crazy because of a non -photographers love of the
shot who thinks a got a perfect take of an etherial moon which made
me look up the lunar calendar.
