Well, it's not rocket science but http://cr.yp.to/ezmlm.html didn't mention it and doesn't provide further links to online documentation. Mailing the list's help address for the auto-reply made clear that for list foo-bar at example.com one emails [email protected] instead of the normal [email protected] IOW, append the email address with @ turned into =.
